Jambo house or kidani village. Kidani village is the newest section of the animal kingdom villas. Both are known for their speculator views, one of a kind dining and fantastic accommodations, but when booking your reservation, it can be quite confusing. Disney’s animal kingdom villas, also known as kidani village, offers studio accommodations as well as one bedroom, two bedroom, and three bedroom villas.

Jambo house is the common name for the main resort building at disney’s animal kingdom lodge. You do not need to be a disney vacation club member to stay at kidani village. There is a big pool with a water slide and two whirlpools.

Jambo house and kidani village. When you re near kidani village zazu elevators parking area #1, you can actually walk under the covered parking (street level) and use timon elevators parking area #5 for example to get to the main lobby. Jambo house has many great amenities.

Lately, it feels that many members of the dvc fan facebook group have asked if they should choose kidani village or jambo house for a stay at disney’s animal kingdom villas. Kidani village is the newer portion of animal kingdom which opened in 2009. There are 324 units in the new section.

Nestled amongst brush and trees lies one of the newest walt disney world resorts: Rooms were conceived of as villas, unlike jambo house, where regular hotel rooms were converted into villas. Choosing based on the actual villas at the jambo house and kidani village at the disney animal kingdom resort is a tough one.

Jambo also houses dvc rooms that are usually more expensive. Within the animal kingdom lodge lies two separate properties, the jambo house and kidani village. There are studio, one and two bedroom villas and 3 bedroom grand villas available.

There are pros and cons to each side. Disney transportation buses pick up at kidani village first and then jambo house for all the theme parks, and jambo first then kidani for the disney springs bus. The community halls, found at most (but not all) dvc resorts offer quite a range of fun activities for those looking to take a break from the parks.

When it comes to studios, i prefer jambo house over kidani village because of the the bathroom layout. There are two buildings at the animal kingdom resort: Kidani village vs jambo house.

If you are planning to stay in a standard room, you don’t have any other option than jambo. Kidani village’s lobby is equally gorgeous but scaled down from the jambo house lobby. Disney’s animal kingdom lodge & kidani village was a great place for our first trip to walt disney world because we wanted to be wowed by the african animals and enjoy the resort on it’s own.

Kidani village has a community hall, something which jambo house lacks. However, there are still some significant differences between these two sections of akv, as summarized below. If you visit the lodge this is more than likely where you will end up.

Sizewise, the jambo house studios are one sq foot smaller than the same view kidani village studios. Jambo house residents have access to all of the animal kingdom lodge restaurants, pools, and activites. The values in jambo house are about 50 sq feet smaller than all the other akv studios.

Jambo house is an alternate name for the main, original animal kingdom lodge building, and it has a mix of regular resort rooms and disney vacation club villas. But kidani village has its own pool, samawati springs, with a fun splash area for kids!. The villas are also slightly bigger than those in jambo house.

Kidani village is a newer building that consists entirely of disney vacation club villas. Studios are nearly identical to jambo house’s dvc studios. Nightly activities are offered at both jambo and kidani such as night time googles for animal viewing or campfires overlooking the safari.
